Frequently asked questions

What is Link Studio?

Link Studio is a link tracking and sales attribution tool. It shows which link, ad or creator brought in each visitor, sign up and sale, live, from the first click to the payment.

Make a short link and QR code for every place you post, add one snippet to your website and connect the tool that takes your payments: Shopify, Stripe, Polar, RevenueCat or Superwall. Supabase or Firebase can send in your sign ups too. Every visit, sign up and sale then lands on the link that earned it, and once your domain is connected, visitors who found you another way, like Google or ChatGPT, show up as Organic.

Your Board maps it all live, from your links to the pages people land on and the sales they make, with blocks that crown your best ad and add up your revenue. Unlike a link shortener, Link Studio doesn't stop at the click, so you can put your budget behind what works. It's built for online stores, app makers and agencies, and Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini can make your links and tell you how they're doing.

How does Link Studio work?

Link Studio gives every click its own ID and follows it all the way to the sign up or sale. Each sale is credited to the last link the person clicked in the 30 days before buying.

  • Create a link. Pick the page it opens and name it after where you'll share it. Link Studio makes the short link and a QR code, or your AI assistant can make a whole batch for you.
  • Share it. Put it in your Instagram or TikTok bio, an ad, a creator's post or a poster.
  • Add tracking. One snippet on your website shows which pages visitors see after the click and where they stop.
  • Connect your sales. Shopify, Stripe, Polar, RevenueCat or Superwall send each order or subscription in, and Supabase or Firebase send your sign ups. Every connection only reads.
  • Watch the Board. Visits and sales land on the link that earned them, live. Blocks like Winner and Revenue do the maths, and Replay plays the day back so you can watch how people moved.

You don't need to code. The one snippet is a script tag for your website, and your AI assistant can add it for you.

How much does Link Studio cost?

Link Studio is free on Starter. Paid plans start at $14 a month billed yearly, and Growth comes with a one month free trial when you pay monthly.

  • Starter: free, with 1,000 tracked events a month, 5 links, 1 workspace and 1 teammate.
  • Growth: $18 a month, with 50,000 tracked events a month, 60 links, 5 workspaces and 8 teammates per workspace. Your first month is free when you pay monthly.
  • Pro: $40 a month, with 500,000 tracked events a month, unlimited links, 15 workspaces and 20 teammates per workspace.
  • Ultra: $120 a month, with 2,500,000 tracked events a month, unlimited links, unlimited workspaces, unlimited teammates and priority support.

Paying yearly takes 20% off and doubles every paid plan's events and links. One plan covers every workspace you own, and the people you invite work under it. An event is one thing that happened: a link click, a page view or button click on your tracked site, or anything a connected tool sends in, like an order.

Do I need a subscription to use Link Studio?

No. Starter is free, with no card and no time limit: 5 links, 1,000 tracked events a month, 1 workspace with 1 teammate and the Link Studio logo on QR codes.

For more, Link Studio is a monthly or yearly subscription, and Growth's first month is free when you pay monthly. You add a card when you start it and nothing is charged until the free month ends. Pro and Ultra, and Growth paid yearly, are billed from the day you start. If you cancel, your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for and then you move to Starter. You choose what stays active, everything else pauses, and every link keeps working.

How does Link Studio know which ad or link made a sale?

Link Studio gives every click its own click ID. When an order arrives from Shopify, Stripe, Polar, RevenueCat or Superwall and Link Studio can tie it to that click, through the click ID or a signed in customer your site already knows, the sale is credited to the last link the person clicked in the 30 days before buying.

Direct visits never take the credit. Sales from people who didn't click one of your links in those 30 days stay off your links, and once your domain is connected they show as Organic. Link Studio never guesses from names, IP addresses or timing.

What is the best tool to track which links and ads make sales?

The best tool ties each click to the sale itself, not just to a visit, which is what Link Studio is built to do. When you compare tools, check for:

  • Click to sale attribution. Does each order land on the exact link, ad or creator that earned it?
  • Real revenue. Does it read orders from your store or payment tool, like Shopify or Stripe?
  • Ads and creators side by side. Can you rank them by how many clicks turn into sales?
  • QR codes. Do scans from print count like clicks?
  • Privacy. Does it work without fingerprinting or storing IP addresses?

Link Studio does all five, and shows the result live on one board.

Can Link Studio track sales from ads, influencers and creators?

Yes. In Link Studio each ad and each creator gets their own link, so every click and sale is counted separately. Ask your AI assistant to add your ads or creators under one of your links: each one then shows the share of its visitors who convert, the best one gets a trophy, and they don't count toward your plan's link limit.

A Winner block on your Board ranks the links wired into it by clicks, by the share of visitors who convert, or by revenue, and crowns the best one.

Does Link Studio work for mobile apps?

Yes. One Link Studio app link sends iPhone users to the App Store and Android users to Google Play. Connect RevenueCat or Superwall and first opens, trials, subscriptions and renewals come in too. When your app opens from one of your links, it saves that link's details on the customer, so each subscription lands on the link that earned it. Installs that didn't come from your links show as Organic.

Do Link Studio QR codes track sales too?

Yes. Every Link Studio QR code opens a tracked link, so each scan counts as a click and any sale from it lands on that link. Every plan includes QR codes in your own colours and styles. Paid plans can put your own logo in the middle, or none, and Starter QR codes carry the Link Studio logo.

Which tools does Link Studio connect to?

Link Studio connects to sales tools, sign up tools and AI assistants from its Add-ons page, plus its own page tracker for your website.

  • Sales: Shopify, Stripe and Polar orders, RevenueCat and Superwall subscriptions.
  • Sign ups: Supabase and Firebase.
  • AI assistants: Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini.

Every sales and sign up connection only reads. Link Studio never changes your orders, payments or users.

Does Link Studio work with AI assistants?

Yes. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini from Add-ons in about a minute: copy your Link Studio link, paste it into your assistant and click Allow. Then ask it to make links, file them into folders, lay them out on your Board, connect your domain or tell you how your links are doing. Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and Gemini CLI work too, and can add Link Studio's page tracking to the site you're building.

Is there a Link Studio mobile app?

Not yet. An iPhone app is coming soon. For now Link Studio is made for computers and iPads: you can read this site on your phone, but signing up, logging in and the app itself need a bigger screen. Your links, QR codes and tracking work on every device.

Does Link Studio use cookies?

One, on your own domain. Link Studio's page tracker keeps a random visitor ID in a first party cookie, so visits to your subdomains count as one visitor. If your site tells the tracker who is signed in, it keeps that user ID in a second cookie. The last link clicked is remembered in the browser for 30 days. It never reads names, emails or form fields. IP addresses are only used to find the country and city, and are never saved with the visit. There's no fingerprinting. If your site asks for consent before analytics, load the tracker after consent.
